    What is the State List?

    • State List: Under the 7th Schedule of the Indian Constitution, it includes subjects where state governments have the exclusive power to legislate (e.g., police, public health, agriculture).
    • Current Status: Education is in the Concurrent List, allowing both the Centre and the States to legislate on it.

  • It stated that foreign affairs fall solely under the central government’s jurisdiction according to the Constitution.
  • Constitutional provisions regarding External Affairs:
