What is the State List?
- State List: Under the 7th Schedule of the Indian Constitution, it includes subjects where state governments have the exclusive power to legislate (e.g., police, public health, agriculture).
- Current Status: Education is in the Concurrent List, allowing both the Centre and the States to legislate on it.

Kerala's “external cooperation
- The Indian central government criticized Kerala for appointing a secretary for “external cooperation,”
